Putting an image into an e-mail.
Can anyone help.
I want to put a small image of a ticking clock in the top left hand corner of some e-mails I am sending out. I use Thunderbird which has a facility to put in a link.
The image is the ticking clock face here
http://flash-clocks.com/documents/flash-clock-2.html
But I don't understand the simple instructions
Ideally I would like the actual image itself to appear. Failing that then a link such as Tick-Tock
Any help appreciated.

David,
you are trying to insert a (link to) a shockwave flash program into an e-mail - not just a simple image. The last thing that anyone should do is run a program that it inserted/attached to an e-mail as it could do all kinds of nasty (virusey) things (and often your mail client will block them anyway).
You could simply insert the link http://flash-clocks.com/free-flash-c...-clock-175.swf as text so that when they click on it it will launch their browser with the clock animation displayed.
HTH,

OK - thanks mb. I think I get what you you are saying and I was trying to be too clever for my own good!!
But I have had limited success with a just a copy and paste routine on a single GIF image with a moving second hand.
What I don't know is if this will be picked up as Spam so I need to find someone who hasn't got my name in their address book to test this.
Hope you had a good day
David
