Taken from The Good Book
"And as David slay Goliath, David turned to the skies and the Lord doth quote..."
"...David, rejoice my friend, your tech specs may have been overshadowed by thy beast Goliath, but your unit sales nailed him in the end"
Here endeth The Word.

hmmm.... i cant figure out the reasons for all this anti x-box talk... i have an xbox a ps2 and a gamecube, and xbox is my favorite by far... ps2 may have more games but 98% of them are crap, same with gamecube... the games coming out for x-box--all of them look good. so i cant help but wonder if this anti xbox crap is just more anti american bullsh*t. it only seems to happen in non-american forums.... maybe you should focus not on who made it but on how it functions... but i guess you people dont really care about real things, only image.

I am not anti-Xbox, I just like taking the mickey out of certain people I am very close to working for the Evil empire
I don't think the X-box will be a major hit, sony have a strong hold on the games market.
Microsoft did not do very well in the Japanese market in terms of intitial sales and their customer service was dire.
Best of luck to them LOL, Its Sony for me at the moment, I can get my hands on an Xbox soon for nothing, so I can wait
Rallisport is superb, not as real as Microsoft are claiming it to be visually stunning, plenty of game play, but don't expect miracles.
At the moment Sony provides a good cheap system witrh loads of games. Microsoft (at this momnet in time) don't.

We don't dislike X-Box because it is American, it's because it's not as much as a leap as Microsoft make it out to be. The games are OK, the console itself is too large and ungainly (PS2 looks hi-tech, which I admit is shallow, but that should suit the Americans) and it's expensive!

<yawn> Ok, I've got the offering from the evil empire and in the end of the day I DON'T CARE whether x is better than y. There is an awful of BS on this subject all over the net, let's not go down this well worn road as we all enjoy gaming. Who cares what the badge is stuck on that black box and just play the games!
Incidentally a mate has a PS2 and whenever we all together for a beer&video games evening, both systems are played for equal amounts of time.

Interesting that some people find the xbox expensive......
The uk prices i've seen were about the same price that i paid for my first playstation 2 when released (in fact i think i paid more for the ps2 depending which dodgy xbox 'bundle' you compare it against, but then i did buy a us import xbox which actually cost a damn sight less than the uk prices, also means i can get the games for about £30-£35 a pop over the net (shipping is free and no tax and vat )
how does that games price compare to uk xbox games prices and ps2 games prices?
am just interested....

Quote Miles: "Who cares what the badge is stuck on that black box and just play the games!"
Hell, I heard of an "Indian fellow" in town who will sell you a console, DVD player, anything.... and he will stick on whatever manufacturer badge you want....
I laughed!
Cheers,

Nah!
You're thinking of the 2001 model!!
The 2002 model comes with a high voltage electronic thief demobilisation system, which was based on the well-proven American Electric Chair, fondly referred to as sparky.
If the PS2 is stolen, it's processor has enough A.I. to apply a slightly soaked nuke-cap to the perpetrators head, before sizzling him.
Sales have been remarkable, although there was a slight slump in March when a machines AI blipped, and fried a 10-year old gamer.
I will keep you posted on any further developments

Wah wah wah. This guy Nick has put an X-box up for sale. If you want it then get in contact. If you don't then don't. Why turn his classified ad into this childish crap?
I'm sure he wishes he hadn't bothered...
