GT5 Head Tracking with playstation eye
Has anyone here tried it out yet?
We got PSmove for xmas so I thought I'd give the eye a go on GT5 with head tracking.
OMG I was very impressed!
In cockpit mode when you slightly turn your head left or right you find yourself looking out of the side window and at the wing mirror! Turn your head the other way and your view sweeps across the dash and out of the other window! Think that's good lift your head slightly and you can see over your bonnet!!
Well impressed ubber gadget coolness IMO!
Driving in the rain with wipers on looking out your side window at 60 frames per second in 1080p is just stunning!

Am I missing something?
you turn your head and the PS Eye sees this, and changes view on screen to match what you are seeing.
so if you want to look out the drivers window you turn your head right, and the ps eye matches that on screen.
what about the fact that if you turn your head far right, you wont be able to see the tv anymore, making the whole concept totally useless?

when you are driving for real you will turn you head slightly but you still look out of the screen, the head tracking works the same way, you only have to move your head very slghlty (as you would in the real world) and the image will shift to match.
Hope this explains things.

If its anything like the free facetracknoir for the pc then you dont have to move your head much at all.
I made these quick videos a while back when i was testing the freebie headtrack stuff for the pc in Arma 2
