whats the best way to connect a pc to a hd tv.vga to hdmi or vga to vga looking for quality to show photos

If your Graphic card on PC/Laptop have DVI,connect via DVI-HDMI

If it doesn't have HDMI or DVI outputs, then VGA will have to do...
VGA is an analogue signal, DVI and HDMI are digital signals...

hdmi would be best as it should carry the sound too unlike dvi.

Hi, what about a cheap media player, it will have hdmi and just connect it to your network and view any films etc you have downloaded or wish to watch from your PC,
The cost of a hdmi graphics card will be similar to a half decent media player,
