Whats my laptop worth?
Please, please help me as I am clueless on how much to sell my laptop for.
Dell Studio 1737 laptop
17 inch screen
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz processor
2GB RAM
250GB Hard drive
It good condition generally but does require a new battery as it's losing charge quickly when unplugged.
What do you think folks, just a rough figure would be fantastic! I think I paid £450 when new 2 1/2 years ago.
Thanks in advance!

Just look on ebay for equivelant models, when you have found a couple add them to your watch list and have a look at the end of the auction to see what they went for. Thats probably your best market guide.
One on ebay here, its virtually the same as yours, this has a 160GB hard drive where as yours has a 250GB, their battery holds a charge though.

I`d say its worth around £160 - £180 as i don`t think he`ll get £200 for his.

Forget ebay and stupid replies on here like £100 Try your local paper as it will sell in there especially this time of year.
I sold the wifes Dell Inspiron 1520 that was £320 new for £200 18 months later in the local paper. That was only a C2D 1.6 with 2gb ram etc. Had loads of calls and as bought by the first person who came to see it.
You will get £250 easily in the local paper, i'd put it in at £300 initially to see if you get any replies (if it's in mint condition that is). Oh and replace the battery first, google for them as I replaced my dell battery with a 9 cell for £30 and its an exact replica of the original although the company selling claimed it is an official Dell battery.
