Default Ipods and the "almighty" windows 7

A friend who happens to be an attractive female () has a new laptop with windows 7 on it. She has an ipod classic and it will not sync properly. you plug in the ipod and windows recognizes it but itunes does not. I have tried un installing and re installing itunes, and the apple drivers, but nothing happens.

I have also ran it in compatibility mode for windows xp to see if that helps but it doesn't.

Does anybody know what needs to be done? or what i can try and do?

Is it an acer with an acer orbicam? I have this on mine and for some reason Itunes started to not recognise the ipod but on removal of the orbicam drivers all was well. I re-installed the orbicam drivers after a few days and it all works properly again...

Kick her back doors in.

It wont help with her iPod issue, but you'll feel a lot better.
