Sky+ Harddrive question
I've recently upgraded to Sky HD and the installer left me the old Sky+ box. Would the harddrive in it be compatible with a PS3, and if so what is the capacity of it?

We can watch and control the sky feed from all other rooms in the house at the moment, and there would be another subscription to pay, so the box is not going to get used. The only reason I asked was because on flicking through the instructions for the HD box I noticed it said SATA on the specifications page. Wasn't sure if this is whats inside the old box.
Thanks for answering though

Sky+ are IDE, Sky HD boxes are SATA. Plenty on the old interweb about upgrading the hard drives on these to get more storage space. Search for that sort of thing and you'll find plenty of techie info. There are several makes of Sky+ and Sky+ HD box and they all have different makes of drive and, in some cases, limitations on what you can put in their place.
You didn't ask that but, as I said, it should allow you to use Google to find out what you need to know ....
