Default Connecting with Bluetooth

I have just got hold of a new 64Gb Ipod touch, but trying to connect the bluetooth to my mobile phone is just so frustrating, it sees it, but just wont connect or do anything, does the bluetooth actually work on these ipods ?

Are the ipod touch bluetooth capable of connecting to mobile phones and able to send photos? (from the ipod top a phone ?)

It doesnt see the bluetooth on my laptop either

If not what is the point of having bluetooth on a ipod touch ?

It was easy enough getting on the internets, but pretty hopeless at getting a hotmail account to download any mail (but thats not major)

Any help/advice on this would really be appreciated

Enable Photo Syncing in iTunes. All the pictures on your Laptop will be copied over. Bluetooth is great for lots of things, the car stereo gets a lot of use on mine.

Ah, I dont have bluetooth on my car radio (I use a transmiter, it works very welkl), and I have all my photos on my ipod (I did that while using the cable connection)

Just cant get the bluetooth (on the ipod touch) to connect to anything, not even my TV, which connects to my laptop, phone, and any bluetooth enabled device (its an LG)

Bluetooth on the iPod will do pretty much everything other than file sharing, it sounds like that's the only thing you want it to do.

Transferring photos is file sharing via Bluetooth. You could use email or WiFi.

Call it what you like, but doesnt solve the problem connecting to anything using the bluetooth

Rather defeats the object of having the bluetooth on the ipod isnt it ????

My phone doesnt have wifi or email, nor do the others I am trying to connect to

Understandably you feel a little disappointed, but it's not the end of the world, you still have a great device that I'm sure you're enjoying in other ways.

Bluetooth can be used for lots of things, games can talk to each other over bluetooth for multiplayer. Wireless headphones can be used and as I've said I quite often use bluetooth with my car stereo when watching TV and listening to music.
