Default Windows 7 Professional for £33

Just bought a copy of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Upgrade for £33.

I have a copy of Vista Ultimate already and wasn't going to pay £170 for a full retail copy of Windows 7 Pro. You can do a clean install with the Upgrade disk, no actual upgrade required.

Even an OEM copy is £70.

You can get it from ... discounted software for students and staff

Of course only if you are a student or teacher in higher or further education. Although, no actual checks are done, they assume you're telling the truth. Which of course I was...

Just thought it might be interesting for anyone who has stuck with Vista since Windows 7 was released.

My full retail copy was only £109 and that was from the king of cheap shops = PC World

Which reminds me, for all the nonsey waffle that was given to me about "you will be wasting your time with 64bit windows because it does not work properly" i have never had a problem with it at all so far..................

do you guys have problems with windows 7 occasionally pausing for breath?

everything just stops for 5 seconds and then continues - what ever you might be doing whether it's file explorer, browsing, etc
