cant get started .im unable to get out of the gail room at the start .i must be hopless i guess can someone help with this and more.

I'm sure there's a lighter or something you can use to illuminate the room.

Don't you have some sort of paperclip to pick the lock ?

Use the lighter, pick up any items, open the door and go up the stairs. Then prepare to die
