Default Help with laptop/notebook choice

My lad [10yrs] wants a laptop and the notebook is ideal for his usage and the price is also a factor. £250
I can get 10% off at Tesco stores so I would prefer to buy from there.
Can someone look at these and offer advice on what may be suitable?
Netbooks in PC, photo and gaming Direct - Tesco.Direct

Thanks

Being a complete idiot when it comes to anything to do with computers, you may not want to take much notice of what I say, but my little Samsung NC10 netbook is brilliant! I've had it a year now, so it's probably been superseded by something flasher, but I would definitely recommend it.

I've got 3 kids in the house (14,11 and 4) and a variety of PC's / laptops.

I think they would struggle with homework / games etc on a netbook 10 or 11 inch screen.......personally I'd buy a used 15 or 17 inch screen laptop

There was one for sale on here a few weeks ago (Toshiba)which I nearly bought for the 11 year old ..... I wonder if it's still for sale ??

not sure I'd buy a dell. I have worked in two places for near on 10 years...........one which has Dell all over the place and another which has HP / Compaq !!

All my PC's and laptops at home are HP
