Windows Media Player stopped working
Ever since the last lot of security updates from Windows my media player has stopped working.
I've tried going through Windows help, but that won't start up either.
I've been through the Add/Remove program thing, but all that does is roll me back to a previous version that also doesn't work.
Any ideas?
One thing I did notice whilst trying to remove it, is that the security updates and hotfixes I've had over the last two years out-number all other installed programs by 3:1

Download latest version of Windows Media Player and install it.
Alternatively as you have more than one issue occurring with help not working either do you have restore points to roll back to, i.e. is system restore activated on your operating system? If so you can roll back the state of the OS to before you did the updates.
