hi folks...
had the best gaming moment ever last night - Halo lev 4 (I think) - the level starts with you looking out the back of a drop ship as it attempts a beach landing.
The scenery is top notch with the waves rolling in - looks like a film... anyway - the beach is highly populated with aliens, most of which have plasma shields and lasers.
Basically marines pile out of the drop ship and you join them & fight your way up the beach - and its f***ing fantastic. Even the trees have bark on them! all you hear is explosions all over the place in front and behind and the marines shouting "holy crap", "oh yeah you want some too.." and "take that you *******" in a real english north london accent.
So who is else is losing sleep playing Halo?
my eyes hurt today...but what a great game!

ROTFL .. that was last night's level.
Just watch out for those spiky m-f's, surprisingly the needler works if you can pump enough into 'em , failing that plasma grenades

the wifes ordered Munchworld - Abes Odeysse - hired it from Blockbuster for a couple of nights and shes hooked - its not bad actually for a 3d puzzler.

The scorpion tank is a great blast, with the marines sitting on the side & if you got Sarge he snipes for you too....

The sound effects on this game are fantastic as well - the "quiet" sections where you are trying to escape from the Map Room are very atmospheric - nearly sh@t myself when I ran into one of the nearly invisible chaps with the glowing sword thingy. One chop from that and you're dead!
Looking forward to a wee shot on the tank thingy though
