Default Advice buying a budget printer.

Hi I'm basically after a cheap printer, ideally black but not too bothered.

It needs to be an all in one: print/scanner

I think it was Lexmark I bought in the past, but used it until the ink ran out - which was very quick. I didn't use it again as it only had one cartridge! I think I'd only printed out word documents so all the colour ink would have still been in there.

I'm fairly sure Lexmark was the make, can anyone confirm it?

Any ideas what to go for? & is there a particular make that seems to be cheaper for refills than others?

Pick up a recon HP 1522. Being a laser much cheaper to print.

Can get fax variants if you like. Also network enabled - which is handy.
