Has anyone tried putting the android OS on thier netbook? I'm considering adding it to an asus 900 netbook I have but there doesn't seem to be many who have tried it ? As with the 900 I don't think the netbook runs XP that well so I was tempted to go back to the original OS if android is no good

Nope they have it running on quite a few netbooks. Ive downloaded the usb and iso img but I can't be bothered for the hassle of putting it right if it goes pear shapeed

Is it not just a repackaged linux setup?

 

I forgot to add, a long, long, time ago, i read a leaked report that supposedly came from Microsoft, in this report they were basically saying that they were fearful of Google, iirc at this point all google had was the basic search engine, but they were advertising for staff for other roles on the sly, MS apparently said something along the lines of "the Google ******* are going to destroy us in the future"

It looks like they had every reason to worry IMO
I do wonder if Google will become the new "MS"
