microsoft - google for pkware or winzip - shareware versions both available. Alternatively look for winrar also available as shareware.

Linux - depends on the version but most have their own built in versions. Ubuntu being one of the common ones uses a program called Archive manager by default.

Mac - should also be built in under current versions I think but can't remember the name of it.

OS X, certainly any modern one (10.4, 10.5, and 10.6) does have the built in capability to unzip a file. Double-clicking on the file should automatically unzip it (using OS X's built in Archive Utility).

I know that XP SP3 (not sure about prior versions) should have the ability to allow you to right click on a zip file and select the "Extract All" option to launch the extraction wizard which will allow you to expand the zip file. I'd therefore say that Vista and Windows 7 should have the same built-in capability too.

or WinRar.... Best of the bunch in my opinion... WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files and click on downloads
