I've been thinking about buying this game - I see L4D2 is coming out soon also.

I'm playing STALKER Clear Sky at the moment and am enjoying a resurgence in my PC gaming after a couple of years PS3ing. Fancy one of the L4Ds afterwards.

L4D is great, but if you don't have it now, wait for L4D2 as it looks even better.

Probably better off waiting for L4D2 to be honest, the demo has just been released.


I installed the 2009 mod for STALKER last night, i thought the screen shots looked awesome, i had to patch up my base game to 1.05 first and now my old save game wont work

DAMN!!

To be fair i had not gotten to far into it so i can quickly go back, still a PITA mind.
I found Clear Sky quite hard for some reason......

Just played the 360 and PC demos of L4D2 back to back.

The 360 game i was in had horrible lag, really bad, and it made the game feel crap, the pc game was perfect, nice and smooth, graphics looks a little clearer although it may have been because the game was not so laggy.


TBH it just feels like left4dead 1 with different graphics, in fact i will go out on a limb and say that i prefer the first game, as zombies coming after you during the day is not quite as intense as them coming after you in the dark!

I had heard L4D2 wasn't quite the new kiddie on the block as the first.

How does the game play - a group of you online against computer zombies?

Sticky - I patched Clear Sky to 10 and couldn't use my saves. I never found either hard or the first shooters pants (although they are) but in STALKER out of all the weapons I favoured the modified AK with scope over all the other posher ones later on. There is a point where you can't go back so on my 2nd play through I got to that point, saved and went back to do as many side missions as possible. The only PITA on Clear Sky is night is night and can't see F all.

I have it and play it now and then, pretty good game TBH, but as others say your just as well hanging off till the newer one comes along

Went back and played both 360 and pc demo versions again, the 360 graphics are crap!!

Blurry textures, and a general lack of detail, PC version seams superior IMHO. especially when its cheaper.

If L4D2 has some night time campaigns then i suspect it will be pretty good, but the daytime stuff is just not the same.
