A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away lived a videogame console called Dreamcast which nobody bought. People never realised what an awesome box of tricks this device was, except for a small few, 'The Knowledgable Ones'

A legendary games programmer by the name of Yu Suzuki (Hang-On, Space Harrier, OutRun, AfterBurner, PowerSlide, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Ferrari F355) developed a masterpiece of a game called "Shen Mue" and later bettered it with "Shen Mue II"

Anyone with any true love of "classic" video games needs to beg, borrow or steal a Dreamcast and buy Shen Mue and Shen Mue II. I'm close to finishing Shen Mue II now and its blown me away. The Dreamcast hardware is totally UNDERRATED. There's nothing on Playstation2 to touch it.

And the the trajedy is...hardly anyone will realise how good these games are (sniff!)

I agree..Shenmue is a cracker...I had Dreamcast Import ages ago...and it was stunning..PS2 only equals it IMO..,its a shame no one gave it a chance..

But X-Box is here..and that is in a league of its own...

Won't buy an X-Box.

Don't rate it.

Will need some killer titles to make me buy one. Even then, I'd probably just get an emulator for my ninja PC.

First impressions are everything and when the Dreamcast first came out the games were pap. PS2 came out with SSX and Xbox came out with Halo. Face facts - dreamcast has long gone, PS2 is master and Xbox is looking to take the crown.

I have a Dreamcast for sale if anyone wants to make me an offer, it's been out of box once, also have Sega Rally.

yep the dreamcast is still fantastic jet grind radio, shenmue and even soul caliber / Sonic Adventure 1&2 have yet to be beaten by anything (x-box included)
