help needed with laptop(IBM thinkpad t20)
Hi,
Have an old laptop IBM thinkpad t20 that i use purely for plugging my sd card reader in and connecting to tv to watch movies through.
Whilst using it tonight screen suddenly went black and no key would work-switched it off and tried to restart computer but it initially puts up first screen saying IBM etc then beeps and puts up screen saying - what the processor, is how much RAM etc but under one line it says -
ATAPI CD-ROM: HL-DT-STDVD-ROM-GDR8081N
ERROR
0175: Bad CRC1, stop POST task
then at bottom of screen
press F1 to enter set up
press F12 to chose temporary boot device
but neither of these keys or any other key works or will access any menu.
Anyone have any idea what has gone wrong with laptop-i have virus checked the film i was watching and its saying no virus - any idea's please?
