Default quick dunce excel query

I know I should know this, with my font of knowledge but for the life of me, I cant seem to put it together in my head

Need to do a simple housekeeping/money in out spreadsheet

So balance in bank account
then entries showing in colums what was bought be it cash, cheque, card etc, items , cost etc

this then starts reducing the bank balance so it has a running total

Just need to work out the reverse equation ??

Any kind person help me

Cheeky !!
No it is for a friend of mine. She wants a simple bank balancing spreadsheet so she can keep an eye on her incomings/outgings. She doesnt really do much internet banking so that is why she has asked. A mini statement sort of but in excel format for her.

Balance is in cell D1, Entries are in cells D3-D13, Current balance is in cell D15.

Enter the following formula into D15:
Code:
=SUM(D1-SUM(D3:D13))
That will give you a running total.
