Thumbs up

I've had numerous thinkpads and I like then!!! Had a IBM 380 XD 233MMX with 100 megs of ram and that lasted me years.

Now have a IBM 760 (I think) with a DVD player, brilliant mate. Stay well clear of Dell laptops, cause they're crap!!!

Good price as well IMHO.

I like Thinkpads.....but I use a Sony Vaio now.

Dell laptops are a lot better now then they used to be.

I used to love my Thinkpad, bit of a bitch to set up but once running went like a dream.

Now run a Vaio at home...not a lot of cop. And a Dell for work that runs all day on battery!! Sweet!

personally speaking....

Have used and supported many thinkpads (inc 600e) vaio's and dells.

Thinkpads gave me nothing but headaches, mainly hardware failures.

Vaio's I like, not the best built laptops but still my favourite, hardware will last, only keyb \ jog wheels etc seem to fail.

Dell have been most reliable (writing this on a Latitude) and have had no major probs.

Given the choice I would go Vaio (picturebook if you are offering ) but Dell is the most reliable.

Just my tuppence,

IC

I had an IBM Thinkpad, but it slept with my wife and lost me my job.

I'd stick with Dell's if I were you.
