Default Recording from VGA input

Is it possible?

I have an old video camera, and want to download the videos from it onto my PC. My PC has a VGA input and i have the connecting cable to link the video camera to it.

So is it possible to do this?

Your best bet will be a TV/PVR card with a hardware MPEG encoder. Anything else will struggle record 800x600 (or thereabouts) video in real time.
