Default Wii hacking

Anyone on here done it?

Done so many PSP's, but with all the all the new jargon with the Wii, I just don't get it.

Managed to install homebrew channel, and downgrade from 3.4 to 3.2. But my main goal is to play my own backups from USB. Something I've not managed yet.

I've done it without chipping it. I prefer soft modding.
Chipping is mostly for playing the backup discs, I want USB loading.

Interesting, not really looked into homebrew stuff for the Wii, would be quite cool to play emulators and stuff on it.

Hopefully someone will be along who's done it

Well I have got the Hombrew Channel, so I'm there really. Not tried any emulators yet, you can get a SNES one.

There are some benefits. Like to be able to use the Wii as a DVD player (good for kids) or someone with limited space.

I've used a homebrew app to remove the warning from when you boot up the Wii, and have to press the A button. Nothing major, but it got on my nerves.

Yep. My plan is to backup all of my own games to an external hdd. I find disc loading so primative.
