Probably, i traded in my Gaylo 3 within a month of release as i was just not feeling the single player game, i did regret it a little as i never really tried the multiplayer and had planned to pick up another preowned copy of the game, just for the multiplayer when the prices came down a little.
Next thing i know, my mate is telling me i need to buy all the map packs to be able to play multiplayer? this put me off a little bit so i never bothered
When i heard that the ODST comes with all the previous DLC on a separate disc, i hatched my plan
I have a game here at work (50 cent) that i think is probably worth about 10-15quid trade in at my local games shop (i paid 1quid for it ) so i will probably pick up ODST on the cheap

Wtf is ODST?
Adverts look good for it might give this a go, i've been itching for a new game since finishing Bioshock. Halo3 singleplayer was good but not great, the multiplayer was good but not COD4.......

Orbital Drop Ship Trooper
its a bit more statagy than previous run and shoot halo games. it also comes will all the previous halo 3 multiplayer maps and 3 new ones. also the new firefight mode.
got it to fill the gap till the over priced MW2 comes out

I'd quite like to try this but I really didn't like the original, I thought it was very overrated.
On the box it said it was something like a 'stand alone' game? Is it just basically new levels for Halo 3 or a new game completely and if so then why not call it Halo 4? I don't get it!
Game were advertising this, Need For Speed Shift and an Elite console for £199 or £100 if you part exchanged your Premium 60gb 360. That sounded quite tempting. Not sure what it would have been with a 20GB part ex though.

Went to the games shop after work, and they had sold out of ODST copies
Asda had loads out (they were putting them on the shelves when i was in at 7am) but i want to trade something against ODST not buy a brand new "full" copy, so i will retry the games shop tomorrow.
As far as i can work out, it is like a standalone expansion type thing, that ships on 2 discs, iirc the second disc is halo 3 multiplayer, with every single previous DLC on it, plus a few more bonus maps, not really worth it for any real Halo fan IMO as they will already have Halo 3 ??+ the DLC anyway? but for somebody like me who never bought any of the DLC, traded in his game and kinda missed playing the same game that his mates were into, it seams like a good idea.

if there are 2 stand alone disc then maybe you could sell the multiplayer one if you already have all the halo 3 levels to someone who does not have them and then have the new game for half the price ?

On the multi player cd then, are the graphics the same or have they been improved?
Halo 3 new is only £9.99 now in some stores so I can't imagine you getting much for it if you part ex.

Maybe, but you do get all the DLC with it, so it may be worth a little more to the right buyer?
No idea on the graphics, i would assume they are the same as halo 3 tbh

you can only play it with people on your friend list or on yourself like i did yesterday. hopefully they will change this with a update because i only have 2 friends who have this game at the moment. some good levels on firefight mode but only had time to play one of them. lasted about 35mins on my own

Nobody yesterday on my friends list was playing it, this is a major oversight IMO
I was willing to look past my previous uninspired Halo3 experience, just for this firefight mode, but now i feel i have just wasted my money (again)
The campaign seams a little boring so far, some of the graphics look like they have come from a PS2 (face textures??)
I put the second disc in to try the multiplayer, and it comes up on my profile that i am playing actual Halo3, complete with all the old achievements, i checked mine out, 190 gs from getting up to around the 7th level, then i remember i traded it in as i thought it was gash
So far, not really impressed, a mate has picked up a copy this morning so i will give firefight another go when we have 2 people

Yeah i would not recommend ODST unless you know a few of your mates are getting it, only 2 people on my list have it, and one of them is trading it in today
Campaign is well short, and feels like it has no soul IMO
Firefight would have been good if you could play with randoms.
Halo 3 Multiplayer, is just as it was.

Resi 5 is the better game IMO
You have done well
I love the whole halo story/universe type thing, i just don't get why the games always get such amazing ratings when they play a bit sterile and boring.
I was on a forum earlier on today and somebody has set up a ODST gamertag, basically you add it, then you check the online friends list and find other ODST players online.
good idea!
