Default New laptop drive -ssd or sata?

Looking at go to windows 7 on my laptop. But I want to start from fresh. currently have a 90gb 7200rpm drive, and thinking about getting either a bigger 7200rpm drive as this is almost full, or going for a ssd.

Is it worth the swap yet? will it be quicker than my 7200rpm sata? its a dell xps gaming laptop btw. cheers

Sata is still king at the minute, I'd wait until ssd technology has matured before jumping in
