New laptop drive -ssd or sata?
Looking at go to windows 7 on my laptop. But I want to start from fresh. currently have a 90gb 7200rpm drive, and thinking about getting either a bigger 7200rpm drive as this is almost full, or going for a ssd.
Is it worth the swap yet? will it be quicker than my 7200rpm sata? its a dell xps gaming laptop btw. cheers

I'd go SSD as long as your laptop will support iut. Go for the 160GB for capacity (you say you need it) and speed. But do some research on which SSD for you. By that I mean, some are great at reading/writing huge video files but fall down at lots of small reads/writes - which is what an operating system does a lot of the time. Plenty of reviews out there to check out.
As far as I can see you have less noise and more battery life and it's a lot faster so what is there not to want?
