My Norton anti-virus was about to expire so I thought I'd try something different.

So I got a 3-licence version of Kaspersky. Bit of a sod to install as I had to get rid of Norton first.

It seems to be more or less work EXCEPT if I leave the computer for an extended period - say a couple of hours - I can't access Outlook Express and get to my e-mails; it just freezes. If I re-boot it seems to work but I don't want to do this 6 times a day

It's a stand alone PC running Windows XP btw.

Any ideas?? Thanks, David

Im not great on these. just installed kasp internet security 10 and it asked me to learn about email spam. have you done this? it may be overloading it.

Thanks but I don't think that is the problem. My ISP has its own spam filter so I only get a trickle actually reach me. David

I found them very helpful when I had a problem with the same package as you.
