Default Paypal account hacked

I jsut had my paypal account hacked and a subscription taken out for this companys services

VPN IP Tunneling - UK, USA, Spain, Germany and Switzerland VPN tunneling services.

I have changed the password, notified the company who have refunded the money, and am currently running a virus scan. Any ideas how they got my info? I bin all phising scams without clicking on them. and why would they hack my account just to take out a £13 subscription with that company

Tracking cookies are perfectly normal. Did you have an easy to guess password? A dictionary found password will always make you an easy target.

Not really bad. Chances are you'll find nothing, it was probably an exploited web page you visited using an exploit in your browser, both are probably fixed now.

Are you sure that you've been hacked?

A few weeks ago I had an email receipt apparently from paypal saying I'd bought something from that VPN company.

However the link in the email was to www . paVpal .com
After logging in to my paypal directly to check it out there was nothing there.

Yeah I logged in directly to the paypal site and the transaction was there, I emailed the company and they reversed the payment immediately and advised me to change my password and security questions.
I contacted paypal on the other hand and am still awaiting a response.

Edit the vpn guy suggested I ran the no script add on for firefox is this a good idea/

Funny you should mention that I visited a website offering a free keylogger scan, Avg went ape and would not let me in. An hour later my paypal account was infiltrated.
