XBOX 360 RROD - what happens to...
my profile once I get (another?) back from Microsoft.
Mine is an Elite manuf in Oct 07 - will boot up and seems to be happy until I play a game on it (ie anything which pushes the graphics) - and it alternates between freezing and doing the red rings.
I'm guessing my profile will continue (if I can remember the password) - but I'll lose all my saved games? Have tried attaching external hard drive and a USB stick to save them but it recognises neither (grrr - bl00dy microsoft!). i even formatted the stick to FAT32 but the 360 still can't see it.
Is there an easy way to copy the game save files off to save me having to re-do them? I have several games I've played for many hours but not finished yet.
Thx in advance!

thx guys - have just read their email instructions and I can keep the HD from the sounds of it (hadn't even realised it came off - doh!).
fingers crossed they'll mend the thing.

I'm not sure on their repair policy for Elites, but when I sent my sons standard Xbox back a few months back, they sent a replacement rather than repairing it.
We were happy with that as he had on-going problems with the disc tray.
Dave.
