A demo for the upcoming racing sim is heading to the Xbox Live Marketplace on September 24, featuring many of the latest iteration's enhancements.
The Forza 3 demo will feature the game's new ****-pit view, refined damage model, new rewind function and even allow players to pull barrel rolls around the full Camino Viejo circuit. Forza 3's September 24 demo includes five playable vehicles:
* 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
* 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro
* 2009 Ferrari California
* 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
* 2009 Mini John Cooper Works
And with a true competitive spirit, the demo will also support official leaderboards for gamers to compare their best lap times. Strap in, folks. This one is rounding its last corner before crossing store shelves.

Forza always include options to get the learners into the game. They also always allow people to set up rooms with the aids banned so you get the best of both worlds. It rewards the drivers who improve their skills as you can go faster without most of the aids.

I was reading a rover forum the other day and they were starting up some BTTC spec races, with a set amount of power/tuning, and the cars had to have the touring car graphics on them, i was quite tempted to post up and join in, but the rover forum people are generally complete dullards, so i never bothered

Well I like it! Shame the demo isn't multiplayer to keep us all busy until the full game but will just have to make do with setting fast times (which i'm cr4p at). I like the demo course for looks/scenery although very short and only 2 laps for the races. The selection of cars is good being a demo.
The damage model is good as just tested it out with a bit of destruction derby with the Porsche.
In fact watching the replays i'd say it is visually stunning
All the assists and damage etc are configurable in the demo as would be expected, not tried the rewind option as no intention of ever using it.
