Question

Anyone know any sites selling cheap 64Mb or 128MB SmartMedia cards? I'm looking to upgrade my current 8Mb job for the Digi cam.

These two seem to be the cheapest so far @ £20 and £50.

Expansys
Card Media

Cheers,
Stefan

OZZY,

Be careful here. I upgraded from a 16 MB card to a 64 MB card, and guess what..... my Fujifilm smart media adaptor (FD-A1) couldn't support cards over 32 MB. So I had to buy a new smart media adaptor (FD-A2) and then found that my camera couldn't format the card, as it was to old...... There was a utility that came with the adaptor for formatting it.

So just a word of caution, at one point it looked like I may have to upgrade the camera as well.

Cheers Phill C

Thanks for the warning Babber.

I'll check if my camera can cope with the larger SmartCards.

According to the FujiFilm web site, theres a 128Mb upgrade for mine. Will double-check just to make sure.

Thanks for the response guys. I've ordered a 128MB card from Valuemedia - £48 inc.VAT/delivery.

Received the card this morning and popped it straight into my camera. Worked first time and I should be able to store nearly 200 photos on it

Cool thing is, I can drag and drop any file from Windows onto the card while it's still in the camera
