Apple - It's only rock and roll event
Think I've missed this, might still be on-going though.
Seems OS 3.1 for iPod Touch and iPhone is released today, free update as well for those running 3.0
30,000 ringtones, priced at $1.29 each (like I'm going to pay that! I'll use iToner on whatever song I like to create a ringtone!)
iTunes 9 released today as well. New Genius options, for "mixes". Better sync preferences. Better app management. Seems to allow you to arrange your home screens in iTunes and it'll apply that to the Touch/iPhone. Ability to copy songs, movies and shows to up to 5 computers in your house, named "Home Sharing". That I quite like, wonder if it only applies to purchased music items though. Redesigned store.

Not like me to miss this type of thing Thanks for the link.
One note to the jailbroken masses, do NOT auto update to 3.1, as you'll lose the jailbreak/unlock.
Have to say I don't actually know what additional features 3.1 will bring, so will decide wether upgrading is worth it. I'm not using jailbreaking for much to be honest, so it wouldn't be a massive loss.
I'm wondering if TomTom's delay to the car kit is down to them needing something in 3.1 and they weren't sure when Apple was going to release it, and they want some testing with the final release of 3.1 before shipping. That would tie-in with the rumored October release date.
