Using the search on google's news archives, there are a few stories that interest me, but they are all going through 'Highbeam research' which is a site you have to subscribe to($28 a month). I couldn't pay anyway, as I don't use credit cards: I just use debit cards which the site won't accept.

Is there any other way to view these stories? Possibly for free?

They appear to be old Daily Record stories etc, but somehow they are being filtered through that American money making site now. You can actually see some of the story in the google search under the title, but when you click the link you need to pay to see more.
