problems starting up laptop

problems starting up laptop
got a acer laptop (new 2 months ago)
and cant get it to start up
i press the power key and everything seems ok windows seems to load and then it comes up on a blue screen
"windows downloading update stage 3 , 0% complete"
and then after a couple of seconds
it says "windows is shuting down" as it would if you shut down normally
and then it just start over again and does the same again
have tried pressing keys in the few seconds the first bit comes on the screen but nothing
any help ...pleaseeee
