Default Slow computer

Young sons computer is running really slow. He does not have any administration rights but he obviously has done something to slow it down. He has loads of shortcuts on his desktop.

Any advice..????

Google malwarebytes and super anti spyware. They are both good spyware progs. Also worth clearing temp internet files, etc.
