Angry Annoying Excel Chart Question...

Have a scatter chart which worked fine but some of how the data was calculated was incorrect, so re-worked the data.

Now to get the data back into the existing spreadsheet, did an hlookup to reference to the workings, then copied/paste special (values) to flatten it.

Now my lovely scatter chart is linear in that the X axis now follows the chronological order of the data - ie row 2 is 40, row 3 is 99, row 4 is 32 and instead of plotting the points 4, 2, 3 it does it 2, 3, 4 which is (in effect) the order in which they are entered, not what I am trying to plot which is their value!!

How can I get it back to "normal" please?

Thanks

Puff

Default

Try right-clicking on the chart, select 'Chart Type', set to XY Scatter, and redefine the data X & Y series if necessary.
