Default Internet explorer 8 - How to delete ????

HELP !!!

just downloaded ie8 and from the very start I found I did not like it, has issues with a few programmes I run and generally prefer the older ie7 version, tried a system restore to before the new version was installed but strangely upon reboot found it was still operating with the new IE8 ?? went into add / remove programmes and cant see it listed ?? the older IE7 is there but not IE8 ?? checked the updates option within add / remove programmes as well but as I say nothing relating to IE8 found. running xp.

Help want rid off it - what do I do ??!!

Not a good idea to go back to IE7 (if you are worried about security in any way).

would stick with IE8 but as I say its causing a few problems such as not allowing me to click on links within emails ie nothing happens when I click on a link, my keyscrambler software does not work with IE8 and some buttons on webpages appear to be missing .

how the heck do I go back to IE7 ??!!

And I have to switch to IE to do mine. First Direct for some reason refuses to load properly in FFox on any of my PC's. I suspect an addon is the issue, don't know which though.
