Default Replacing a laptop HDD

Need to replace a HDD on an aging lappy... lol

quick Q, the current set up has one of those hidden partitions on the drive for system restore... (so i'm told)

If i replace it with a new drive, it wont have this..

can i just reinstall windows back onto this new drive using the original lappys key? (as long as i wipe the original drive?)

I'm guessing that i'd have to reinstall vis the dvd drive?

Also what about drivers etc? would i have to pull these off first

If it's vista 9/10 drivers will be not be needed. Any other os then you'll need the drivers.

Yea just use the key for the laptop it will be fine
