Virgin is a total ripoff, I have 10meg and you can only use it at full speed for about 20mins before 9pm.

If I want to download overnight you don't really need anything quicker anyway - 10meg = 4.7gig DVD in 1 hour.

There's no traffic shaping with 50mb

Yet...

On the subject of VM, do you know that you can phone them and demand the same deal as a new subscriber?

I saved £11 per month on my Broadband by threatening to leave..

Virgin is the best provider i have been with.
Free upgrade from 2mb to 4mb, then 4mb to 10mb, and then when I was going to leave them they put me up to 20mb

I think I was on 20mb bb, full tv package and phone line rental and free calls for £30 a month !

Good price but I've heard that 50mb periods or anything close are few and far between. Let us know how you get on with it.

Might be tempted myself if it's good.

so far so good, i can't believe how much a wireless N router makes a difference in transfer rates.

I've been missing out!
