Post PS3 & Wireless Network

Hello

Looking for first hand recommendations from owners of PS3 what they recommend for an ADSL wireless router that will also be used for PC. The PS3 will be used for online gaming and the PC normal internet stuff, ie browsing and email.

Is it best for the PS3 to be connected via ethernet cable or is wireless ok for online gaming?

Many thanks in advance for recommendations.

Hello the BT Home hub is quite slow for wireless online gaming and can loose connection frequently although that maybe because my PS3 is in another room.I would say it's better using the ethernet cable as you say, because you then don't rely on the wireless signal through the airwaves i guess.

Cool

I have some cheapo Dynamode thing and it works fine. That said, I am thinking of getting some powerline adapters so I can stream media from my PC onto the PS3, which is a bit of a non-starter with wireless.

I would imagine that any half decent modem/router will be ok.

I was using an old Belkin router before with the ethernet cable connected, and is noticeably quicker than the home hub and it is the smaller hub we are using now.I don't know how good the new Belkin routers are so i would have a look at them.
