Default Anyone good with phpBB3?

Need some help changing a forum banner - have added my own but want to remove the standard style header that sits behind it and also want to set the new banner image to auto size for different resolutions so it always fits the page. Even if its just centered would do as long as no blue background.

www.snoc.co.uk/phpBB3 you can see the problem here with the header. It floats to the left but remains the same size whatever resolution your screen is. Also the blue header behind it is annoying and i want it gone. Ive tried editing the common.css and also the overall_header.html but still no joy.

I can post code up if anyone needs it to help?

Thanks in advance
James

You need to make /theme/images/bg_header.gif your image, I made mine 2000px wide, so it adjusts to whatever size screen you're viewing it on If you need any more help, feel free to PM me ^_^

thanks to Kangie you can see ive replaced the blue header

Just need to know where i change the image size and also orientation so its centered rather than wrapped.

Also just to add a bit more - if i put in site name and description in the ACP it automatically puts it into the header which looks naff. Is there anyway of giving site name and description so it doesnt sit on header? as if i leave it blank it looks good but site doesnt have a name

I didn't put anything as the name in the ACP, instead I think I put it in the header of the forum (editing the php file) so it shows just in the title bar. So, you'd put <title>Whatever you want to be in the bar at the very top of your browser</title>

You should use the same dimensions for the existing blue bar as your image, and just put it nice and wide, I found that saved alot of hassle

New Age is term to class cars from 2001-2007 - people also use it for newer shape as well now.
