Where do I find the start up programs and disable them?

 

Startup Control Panel -

Best program you can get

You can disable or delete what loads up.

Program is free and just run the exe (nothing to install).

start > run >msconfig

click the startup tab

 

Start -> Run
Type regedit
Then look under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE ->Microsoft ->Windows -> CurrentVersion ->Run

All programs started by windows are kept here.
Also check 'startup' under programs from the start bar.

Yep - works under every version of Windows including Vista. I've used this for years and years.

 

Crap cleaner does this easily, and will also sort out registry issues etc at the same time
