Default itunes music library question...

you have 180 gigs of music and someone gives you 20 gigs of music.

how do you efficiently only add the music you don't already have in your own iTunes library?

Depends if you both have the same naming structure i.e.

Lily_Allen_The_Fear
Lily Allen - The Fear
Lily.Allen_The.Fear

etc ect

what I do is put my name in the 'comments' bit on my own library. then add the new files and get it to show duplicates - bin the (lower quality) versions that it flags. still worth flicking through to look for the duplicates it won't flag where the file names are slightly different.
