Default Options on running 2 internet PCs from same house

Question, and perhaps a daft one but I'm looking for options here.

My bro lives at home with parents and currently has a PC in the spare room plugged into separate phone point using Tiscali as his browser.

My Dad is planning to buy a laptop and, with most now being wireless, what are his options on getting onto the net without disturbing my brothers connection?
Note, there is another phonepoint downstairs so I guess the wireless thingy could go in there.
I guess the wireless thing makes no difference but what I'm really asking is can 2 PCs run on interenet at same time down one phoneline?
Will he need to simply get a separate account with Tiscali or can he go elsewhere?

Nick

You cannot have two internet connections on the same phone line.

You just need your brother to swap up his router/modem for a wireless modem/router. They are £30 or less.

So Dad could have account with any ISP providing he does not attempt to be online at the same time as Bro?
Sorry for this but I've not explored this before.

Your dad could share your brothers internet connection/provider. There is no need for another one, unless there is a reason you havent mentioned.

As above, your brother would need to change his wired modem/router for a wireless type and your dad could connect to that from his laptop.

£30-£50 and your sorted. No extra monthly costs needed.

If you dad wanted he could try a 3G dongle, then he can use it where he wants and not have to share accounts, but if your dad is only a occasional user at home as stated above a wireless router is the way to go.
