I haven't used anything else for about 3 years. Not a heavy user but does exactly what I need to do when I need to do it.
And my favourite price.

I'm using CD burner XP on my 32bit Vista machine at the moment. Seems to work very well and it's free

DVD Decrypter was shut down due to legal reasons. ImgBurn was built from the same burn engine

Nero has got too bloated these days for my liking (and it has several bugs when running on Vista - which is why I switched to cd burner xp).

I've had it crash, or burn coasters on numerous occaisions. That's why I gave up using it (couldn't rely on it).

Ironic that the freely available software works so much better...

I know that Nero can be picky about certain media and certain burners or combination of. So just a matter of picking the right discs and sticking to them

...as opposed to the entirely free cd burner xp software which has worked with every disc I have thrown at it, and hasn't crashed once
