24 (the TV Show) Your killing me....
Didnt watch last half of series 5 or any of 6. As 7 just started up and is in HD (supposedly) I thought Id watch it again.
Omg at last nights episode. Youd think at the 7th series theyd at least have a technical advisor as its just cringe worthy listening to some of the stuff the FBI techs spout:
Bloke: "router 2 showed a drop of 0.7% utilisation"
Bird : "Im gonna check the 'signaling router' hmm someone is riding our bandwidth for sure, Im gonna lock them out"
Bloke: "Ah thats better - what did you do"
Bird: "I pinged the router and it recovered..."
Add to that the whole story about the terrorists breaking through the US Govts Firewall with a device some chap built in a couple of hours with a soldering iron and a broken toaster.
I wish I could ignore it but there is some much rubbish spouted. It annoys me that such a massive TV show cant even spend a few more minutes on details. Reminds me of Swordfish where High Jackman is hacking the Govt by telnetting on port 80 and running a traceroute....of course that works when your have 10 screens running
