Default Nokia unlock codes.

Does anyone know the best place to get (preferably free) a code to unlock my Nokia 6500 Slide? I've had a look around and everyone that I have found wants to charge, not a problem if that's the only way. The main concern I have is that the codes are safe and don't damage the phone in any way as I want to sell it.

PS: On Orange, if that makes a difference.

Cheers guys

Im not 100% but i would have thought it would need hooking upto a computer to unlock?

If not, there are a few websites that give you codes but usually only for older handsets.

Thanks for the quick reply, 3 minutes !!

I tried the site but the codes don't seem to work and from what I have been told trying to do it remotely more that twice it will lock the phone permanently. Don't fancy that. I will just have to sell it as it is and let someone else do it, not to worry.

Cheers anyway

If it's on a monthly contract - try calling customer services.

Certainly Vodafone & o2 will provide unlock codes for free if the handset is out of contract but still on a monthly plan.

If its an O2 contract phone there is no need to unlock as O2 dont lock the contract phones down
