Default Outlook and Outlook Express....

Right, total novice with all things pc so don't laugh too much.....

I have a Logitech keyboard that has the shortcut buttons on it for 'mail' 'home' & 'calculator'.

I prefer to use OE as it's what i'm used to and i prefer the layout.Unfortuneately the shortcut 'mail' button takes it to Outlook. What do i have to do to swap these over so OE comes up when the shortcut mail button is pressed?

Thanks

ps - not sure it matters but i'm running Vista.

You need to go to the Logitech control tab in the keyboard settings. That's in the control panel. You can change what all the buttons are used for there. You may have a shortcut icon in your tray by the clock...

Thanks for the reply.

Went to Control Panel - keyboard but it just comes up with keyboard properties and can't see any mention of the shortcut keys.

Also, just noticed it comes up with 'standard keyboards'.No mention of 'Logitech'.

You need to set default programs.

On Vista, it's Start... Default Programs.
XP, not sure but think it's pretty similar.

Just choose in there your prefered programs and the buttons will take it from there.

Just to be clear, just checked, it's the
"Set program access and computer defaults" option, select custom and set whatever you like.
