Windows XP - not showing a logon window ?
WinXP SP2
Computer boots as normal, showing Windows XP logo on black background.
Computer switched to hi-res mode, blue background where you'd normally see the logon window, but I get nothing but a mouse cursor (which can be controlled with the mouse)
Tried a repair on the existing installation, but same happens
Tried going in via safe mode, but get black and white safe mode screen and no logon window - just the mouse cursor.
Tried the first repair option, logged on as admin, and got access to c:\ no problem. Tried bootcfg /rebuild to no effect
Any ideas ?
