Bought NFS Undercover yesterday, whacked the disc in the console and the screen kept freezing, couldnt even do a lap without if Freezing.

quick search of the tinternet revealed every cat man and his dog is having same prob. Little bit more searching, and this is applicable for any dodgy game (my COD4 keeps freezing when online as well)

u need to put the game on your hard drive, then it plays absolutely no probs
but once on your hard drive, u still need to put the disc in, but thats just so u cant use copied games

and while im on the subject, NFS Undercover didnt get great reviews and Midnight Racer LA is meant to be a better game
