virtual machines
I've have got several virtual machines running on virtual server 2005. One no longer connects to the network 'X network cable unplugged' All the other VM's are fine.
I don't really understand VM's as regards to hardware, I can't do anything with the physical hardware because it affects other VM's and in this case they work anyway.
So how do I fix a virtual network adapter, I've removed it added it not sure what else to do. Any ideas where I look?

For the virtual network adapter for the VM you're interested in, what does the "Connected to" field read?
It should have "Not Connected", "Internal Network" and then 1 or more values which pertain to the physical network adapters in the server itself.
It should be allocated to one of those physical network adapters.
